A violet flash lights up the darkness within and, to my wonder, I find myself in a vaulted cathedral, filled with a radiant mauve light that suffuses the space within. I remain entranced for some time. Part of me knows all of this is the Infinite. When I finally open my eyes and return to everyday reality, I feel exalted. Never since have I felt quite so empty or alone.
